Summer 2024 – Free Meals for All Kids 18 Years of Age and Under!
Pittsville School District knows the importance of offering nutritious meals to children during the summer months, so we as the district of Pittsville are announcing the sponsorship of the summer food service program.
The summer food service program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, provides nutritious meals to children during the summer when free and reduced-price school meals are typically unavailable. Free meals will be made available to all children 18 years of age and under. Person over 18 years of age who are determined by a state or local public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled and who also participate in a public or private non-profit school program during the regular school year may receive free meals as well.
The following location will be serving free meals this summer on the dates and times listed:
Pittsville Elementary School
5459 Elementary Ave.
Pittsville, WI 54466
Dates: June 3, 2024 - June 27, 2024
Meal Service Monday thru Thursday
* No Meal Service on Fridays
Breakfast Time: 7:30am - 8:30am
Lunch Time: 11:30am - 12:30pm
Please note that all meals must be consumed on-site and cannot be taken as a “to-go” meal. Children do not need to attend both meals to participate, no pre-registration is required. If the child is not attending our summer school program, we ask the child check into the office before coming down for the meal service for security reasons. Meals are provided to all children regardless of race, color, national origin, age, gender or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of meal service.
