SCHOOL CLOSED MONDAY, JAN 20, AND TUESDAY, JAN 21, DUE TO EXTREME COLD TEMPERATURES.
After conferring with our bus company and monitoring the NOAA forecasts throughout the weekend, I have made the decision to cancel in-person classes for Monday, 20th, and Tuesday, 21st January due to the extreme temperatures. Monday is forecasted to be -30's and Tuesday potentially reaching the -40s with the wind chills. As we all know, winter can bring unpredictable weather conditions, and we are currently experiencing extreme wind chills that pose a safety risk. Those extreme temperatures are going to worsen overnight tonight into late Tuesday and do not improve throughout the day on Monday or Tuesday.
In the interest of allowing families time to plan for childcare, I am communicating this decision this morning. Closing school is never easy, however the decision has been made with the safety and well-being in mind for everyone in our school community. The PCCC will also be closed.
